Washing your face is an integral part of your skin care routine, but are you doing it correctly? Are you taking the best steps to washing your face right?  Everyone’s skin is different, so what works for your bestie may cause problems like dry skin and clogged pores for you.

You’ll want to consider several factors to determine what will work best for your complexion. An important component of your routine is your cleanser. Match your cleanser to your skin type to ensure you are getting the most from it. The wrong one can make your oily face worse, or your dry skin even more severe.

Can you wash your face with just water?

You may need help getting your makeup off. Consider using a makeup remover in addition to your cleanser to ensure you’re removing any residue left behind by your makeup.  This helps to prevent breakouts.  Makeup remover can wash away layers of makeup. If you only wash with water, it’s not going to remove your makeup.  Makeup removers were created specifically to get rid of all of the makeup on your face.

It’s not hard to do too much when you are washing your face.  You might think that you need to wash your face several times per day to keep it clean, but that isn’t necessarily the case.  Sometimes you might even be washing more than once or twice per day to get all the makeup off after work. The reality is that you really only need to wash your face twice each day, and sometimes just once.

You might think that washing your face is no big deal.  However, there is helpful advice to make sure your skin is getting what it needs even when just washing your face.
