Skincare Routine for Winter

Winter is a happy and festive time of year, but some of the not too happy things include itchy and dry skin as well as having a runny nose.  And the lack of sunshine can really affect your mood. A proper skincare routine for winter will make everything easier.

What are your favorite winter beauty product tips?

A face mask does wonders. Instead of a tightening clay type of mask, opt for a hydrating mask to make your skin glow.  Either a sheet mask or a replenishing mask will work well.  Next, invest in a thicker moisturizer for your face to fight off wrinkles and fine lines.  Also, to keep skin hydrated and youthful, try to find beauty products that contain hyaluronic acid and glycerin in them.

Never forget about your eye area.  The skin around your eyes is very fragile and you need to be gentle when applying product there.  You probably need to add oil into your routine for both skin and hair. When your skin gets dried out, too much sebum is produced to make up for there being no moisture, and this can give you oily skin and clogged pores. A facial oil will help to keep sebum at bay. There are many oils to fight the drying effects of winter such as jojoba, coconut, or almond oil.
