In the next five years, the global market for organic cosmetics is predicted to grow by 10% and reach a staggering 16 billion. The billion dollar global market for organic cosmetics and skin care is dominated by The Body Shop, Burt’s Bees, Estee Lauder, and Aveda.

As more people understand the impact of chemicals, they are increasingly more willing to spend their disposable income on organic cosmetics, particularly organic skin care. People concerned with dandruff and hair loss are looking for chemical free organic hair care solutions, and this is causing some of the expansion in the market.

However, the growth does not come without challenges. Limited shelf life of the products and regulatory policies may hamper some of the growth. Finally, there are limited raw materials available to create the products.
