Nearly every teenager has experienced the scourge that is acne. But, for some unfortunates the torture does not end there. The plague continues into the adult years. When this happens it can be difficult in the extreme to suss out a hopeful treatment. One scourge afflicted adult tried unguents and regimens up the wazoo and had no hoped for results, only bumpy, cyst-ridden facial skin. It wasn’t until one doctor proffered the possibility of a drug riddled with side affect cautions that the adult in question decided that a longer, safer approach, that of tackling the problem through diet could be worth trying. By watching her edibles and including variety very slowly, it became clear that dairy was the culprit. Although her body went through some detoxifying escalation of the problem, she eventually had 100% clear skin. Interestingly, a search showed that there is data that links acne and dairy. Unfortunately, not many studies have considered this area and even less have considered it in the demographic of adults with acne.

  • There are few scientific studies, but the ones that do exist show that cutting dairy can help clear up acne for some people.
